The gold price continues to move within narrow ranges and consolidates. It is striking that major mining companies currently have extremely high (free) cash flows – with average profit margins of around 50%. Mining stocks are thus gradually recovering from their significant undervaluation, without yet having reached the end of normal valuation. It is positive to note that companies are not repeating the mistakes of past boom phases, but are focusing on disciplined capital allocation and not making expensive, unprofitable acquisitions.
Fundamentally, the direction remains intact: geopolitical and macroeconomic developments continue to favor hard assets like gold and silver. For silver, increasing industrial demand (e.g., due to electrification and solar technologies) further strengthens the upward trend.
The key drivers remain:
1. Uncertainties regarding confidence in fiat currencies
2. Many Global South countries moving away from the US dollar
3. Fear of sanctions and asset freezes
4. Political influence on the Fed and the USD system
5. Inflation concerns with simultaneously controlled interest rates (tendency towards real negative interest rates)
6. High government deficits that make permanently high interest rates impossible
Our indicator remains at a neutral level with a value of 0.99. So far, there is no sign of speculative excess – the movement remains moderate. However, in the short term, it remains unclear: Will precious metal values correct or continue to consolidate?

Precisely for this reason, the use of option selling strategies is currently worthwhile: By selling puts on large, profitable mining stocks, investors can cautiously yet lucratively position themselves.

New Video on YouTube – Our Launch of a More Up-to-Date Format
We have published a new video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kev92YLgLnk
With this format, we can react more promptly to market movements and directly present opportunities in options trading to you.
Our mission is clear: Option selling strategies should become as commonplace and popular in Germany as dividend strategies. While many investors only hope for capital gains, we want to show how predictable and attractive regular premium income can be – and how it can be established as a stable pillar in a portfolio.
In doing so, we want to filter out the essentials and make the possibilities of options trading understandable, practical, and tangible. Help us spread this vision: Take a look and share your opinion with us!
I wish you a great week and much success in (options) trading.
Yours, Eckart Keil
