{kanada_flagge} In northwestern Ontario, Canada, Heritage Mining (CSE: HML, FSE: Y66, WKN: A3DTM6) is developing two exciting gold-silver-copper projects, the Drayton Black Lake and Contact Bay projects near Sioux Lookout, which benefit from excellent infrastructure and a wealth of historical data.
Conclusion Heritage Mining is an attractive explorer with two interesting projects attracting attention. As both the Contract Bay and Drayton Black Lake projects benefit from the excellent infrastructure in their vicinity, exploration costs here are significantly lower than on other projects. At the same time, the positive grab and channel samples indicate that mineralisation is present in the ground. If Heritage Mining can confirm this in the course of the drilling programme that is now beginning, the train could also quickly roll towards a first resource.
In northwestern Ontario, Canada, Heritage Mining (CSE: HML, FSE: Y66, WKN: A3DTM6) is developing two exciting gold-silver-copper projects, the Drayton Black Lake and Contact Bay projects near Sioux Lookout, which benefit from excellent infrastructure and a wealth of historical data.
Both projects are located in a greenstone belt called Eagle-Wabigoon-Manitou. The Flagship Drayton Black Lake project in particular is currently benefiting from the good infrastructure, which consists of an asphalted and thus easily passable road, because the first phase of a new drilling programme is starting here these days.
The drilling team is already on the property, which is located about 25 kilometres north of Sioux Lookout, with the necessary equipment and has started its work on 4 August. The drilling is carried out by the company AZI Drilling. A 3,600-metre drilling programme is planned, starting with drilling on the Alcona and New Millennium target zones. Later, work will be extended to the Moretti target.
Heritage Mining benefits from new partnership with Mira Geoscience
Heritage Mining will also benefit from its new partnership with Mira Geoscience. It was concluded only a few days ago and published on 20 July. In the few days since, Mira Geoscience has already developed a geological model for the Alcona and New Millennium targets. The model provides Heritage Mining’s exploration team with a geophysical and structural understanding of the deposits and has already led to additional targets being identified.
It looks like Heritage Mining is off to an extremely successful start, as the work carried out so far has not only been completed ahead of schedule, but has also resulted in lower costs than initially planned. Peter Schloo, President and CEO of Heritage Mining, was correspondingly satisfied.
The preparatory work from last year gives rise to great confidence
The fact that the company can look forward so confidently to the next few weeks is also related to the successfully completed preparatory work. In particular, the recent surface samples and the grab samples should be mentioned here. The former yielded gold grades of up to 12.4 g/t and silver grades of up to 46.7 g/t and the latter grades of up to 26.20 g/t gold and 2.18 g/t silver.
Thus, the surface samples confirm the assumption that the Drayton-Black Lake project has consistent and high-grade gold and gold-silver mineralisation at surface in the important target areas. In light of his professional experience, Peter Schloo describes it as rare to encounter a high-grade, surface mineralised gold and gold-silver occurrence over a strike length of several kilometres.
Three priority targets have emerged in it. Two of the three have already been confirmed at depth by the historical drilling and their immediate proximity to existing infrastructure is particularly important for subsequent mining. There is also additional targets that will be worked up over the comming months to a drill ready status, the projects have significant exploration upside potential.
The Alcona deposit is ready to drill
The drill-ready Alcona area is currently being addressed as a mineralised deformation corridor more than 200 metres wide. It consists of several zones of deformed volcanic rocks and shear parallel quartz veins. Encouragingly for Heritage Mining, this corridor, currently 1,000 metres long, remains open both along strike and to depth.
Highlights in this part of the project include 2.36 g/t gold and 8.00 g/t silver in sample F809074 and 0.927 g/t gold and 2.08 g/t silver in sample F809077. Both samples enrich the corridor and provide additional mineralisation that complements the existing high-grade gold-silver mineralisation at surface. It is important to note, there is confirmed high-grade gold-silver mineralized at surface throughout this corridor.
Excellent grab samples at New Millennium
The New Millennium deposit hosts at least two mineralised deformation corridors. They are composed of several discrete zones of deformed volcanic rocks and shear-parallel quartz veins. Grab samples taken here assayed the aforementioned 12.4 g/t gold and 46.7 g/t silver.
Overall, the soil and grab sample results confirm that highly prospective mineralisation associated with higher gold and silver grades is encountered along the central vein system and therefore supports the drill plan at New Millennium.
Moretti area emerges as third major target area
A mineralised deformation corridor with a length of 2,500 metres and 500m wideIt consists of discrete zones of deformed volcanic rocks and shear-parallel quartz veins. Their thickness ranges from centimetres to metres. New logging activities undertaken by Heritage Mining in the north-eastern part of the property provide improved access ideal for prospecting and drilling.
A large, well-exposed vein was confirmed on the northern vein prospect last 2022. It trends towards the northeast trending Moretti shear along strike. Here the exploration team will continue slot sampling started last year but not fully completed.
