Company & Strategy
Pulsar Helium Inc. (TSXV: PLSR | AIM: PLSR | OTCQB: PSRHF) is an emerging exploration and development company focusing on primary helium. The company was founded in 2021 and is now one of the first listed players to focus entirely on the discovery and development of helium-rich deposits – regardless of natural gas production.
Pulsar’s goal is to create a sustainable and reliable helium supply – especially for key industries such as semiconductors, medical technology, aerospace and fusion energy. At a time when helium is almost exclusively extracted as a by-product of natural gas production, Pulsar is pursuing a pure primary helium approach – i.e. deposits in which helium is the main product.
Strategic Approach
The company uses its geological and technological expertise to identify and develop new helium provinces. Pulsar is pursuing two central goals:
- Topaz in Minnesota – rapid development of a proven high-grade helium deposit for production.
- Tunu in Greenland – systematic exploration of a new helium province with access to the European market.
Pulsar’s strategy is based on building value creation along a clear pipeline: Discovery → Evaluation → Development → Production.
Market Environment
Helium – a Critical Raw Material
Although helium makes up around a quarter of the mass of the universe, it is extremely rare on Earth. It
Helium is considered a critical raw material in both Canada and the EU. It is used in a variety of high-growth industries:
- Medical technology: Cooling magnets in over 50,000 MRI scanners worldwide
- Semiconductor production: Cleaning and shielding gas in chip manufacturing
- Aerospace: Pressurizing agent for rocket fuel tanks
- Fiber optics: Prevents air pockets in optical fibers
- Automotive industry: Use in battery tests, welding and sensor technology
- Hydrogen and fusion energy: Coolant and shielding gas in reactors
Global demand in 2023 was around 5.9 billion cubic feet and is expected to rise to 8.7 billion cubic feet by 2030. This development creates a significant supply bottleneck that new primary helium projects such as Topaz and Tunu could close.

Project Portfolio
The Topaz Project (Minnesota, USA)
Topaz is Pulsar’s flagship project and is considered a new helium province in North America. It is located approximately 100 km north of Duluth, Minnesota, in a region with excellent infrastructure, road access, power supply and mining tradition.
Geology and Discovery
Topaz is located in an area with some of the oldest rocks in North America, which create ideal conditions for the formation of helium. During an earlier nickel exploration in 2011, helium-rich gas was accidentally discovered. Later laboratory analyzes confirmed exceptionally high and stable helium concentrations of up to 8% in the Jetstream #1 and #2 boreholes – more than 25 times the economic production limit.
The gas flow occurred naturally under pressure to the surface – without water content, which offers ecological and technical advantages. A rapid pressure recovery also indicates a large gas deposit.

2024–2025 Work Program
The exploration program focuses on expanding the resource and preparing for commercial production:
- Deepening of Jetstream #1 by 700 m
- Drilling of two step-out boreholes within a radius of 5 km
- Performing seismic surveys and gravimetry for more accurate reservoir modeling
In August 2025, the flow test achieved 1.3 million cubic feet of gas per day with 7–8% helium content – a significant step towards production.
Helium-3 Discovery
In October 2025, Pulsar published a scientifically and economically significant discovery: Helium-3 concentrations of up to 14.5 ppb in Jetstream #1. This makes Topaz one of the highest-rated terrestrial helium-3 deposits worldwide.
Helium-3 is extremely rare, non-radioactive and highly sought after due to its use in fusion energy, quantum computing and neutron detection. With a market value of up to USD 18.7 million per kilogram, this discovery opens up completely new economic perspectives.

The Tunu Project (Greenland)
Tunu is a 100% Pulsar-owned exploration project in eastern Greenland – one of the few known primary helium deposits in Europe. The license area covers 62 km² and offers access to port and flight connections (Nerlerit Inaat Airport, Ittoqqortoormiit settlement).
Exploration Potential
Initial gas samples from hot springs showed helium contents of at least 0.8%, without accompanying hydrocarbons – a crucial criterion for primary helium systems. The region also has strong geothermal potential, which Pulsar is further investigating together with Sproule-ERCE.
Location Advantages
- Good accessibility, stable geological structures
- Proximity to European sales markets (only four days of ship transport to Denmark)
- Exclusive license for helium, hydrogen, geothermal energy and other minerals (except hydrocarbons and radioactive substances)
- No national park or protected area restrictions

Current Work
Based on historical and modern geophysical data (Fugro, SkyTEM, Ambient Noise Tomography), Pulsar is currently building a structural understanding of the helium system. The goal is an early resource definition and, if necessary, a future dual use of helium and CO₂ as economically usable products.
ESG & Sustainability
Pulsar Helium attaches great importance to responsible exploration and sustainable development. The company adheres to internationally recognized ESG standards, relies exclusively on conventional drilling methods without fracking and works closely with local communities and stakeholders.
The projects are free of water extraction, which minimizes ecological risks. Through transparent communication and social responsibility, Pulsar pursues a long-term approach that combines economic development and environmental protection.
