Sitka Gold (TSX-V: SIG; Frankfurt: 1RF) reports new drill results from the Rhosgobel target on its 100% owned RC Gold Project in the Yukon. The latest release includes seven diamond drill holes from the 2025 program and confirms near-surface gold mineralization over hundreds of meters of strike!
Of particular note is hole DDRCRG-25-014 with 107.9 m at 1.01 g/t gold from surface, including 37.9 m at 1.41 g/t gold. In total, 16 of the first 17 holes have reached >100 g/t·m (grade × length), according to the company – an outstanding value.
Sitka Gold: Potential of the Rhosgobel Discovery Increases
Rhosgobel is located in the central area of the RC Gold Project within the Tombstone Gold Belt. In total, 43 holes (12,722 m) have been drilled there to date; the results of the now published seven holes significantly expand the known footprint of the discovery. Visible gold was observed in fine to centimeter-thick, sheared quartz veins along the 1.1 km strike drilled in 2025. Gold mineralization is currently analytically confirmed over 575 m of strike, starting at the surface and open to depths of over 400 m, according to the company.
This year’s drilling campaign comprised a total of 91 diamond drill holes with a total length of 31,841 m distributed over several zones: Rhosgobel (43 holes), Blackjack/Saddle (26), Eiger (10), Contact Zone (6), Pukelman (3), May-Qu (2) and Bear Paw Breccia (1). For the overall project, results from 55 drill holes are still pending, 26 of which are from Rhosgobel.
Drill Highlights and Geological Classification
In addition to DDRCRG-25-014, the reported highlights include:
- DDRCRG-25-016: 154.0 m at 0.71 g/t Au from 13 m, incl. 67.5 m at 1.03 g/t Au.
- DDRCRG-25-011: 67.0 m at 1.02 g/t Au within 126.1 m at 0.89 g/t Au.
- DDRCRG-25-012: 50.0 m at 1.00 g/t Au (incl. 20.0 m at 1.83 g/t Au; peaks up to 11.60 g/t Au over 2.0 m).
- DDRCRG-25-015: 37.0 m at 1.03 g/t Au.
- DDRCRG-25-017: 297.0 m at 0.61 g/t Au from 10.9 m, incl. 28.5 m at 2.20 g/t Au (peaks up to 32.10 g/t Au over 1.3 m and 12.90 g/t Au over 2.0 m).
The mineralization corresponds to a RIRGS (reduced intrusion-related gold system) in a feldspar-megacrystalline quartz monzonite intrusion. In addition to visible gold, bismuthinite, scheelite (W mineral) and molybdenite occur. Sitka Gold is having additional samples analyzed for tungsten (WO₃) after previous drilling (including 2024) showed both high-grade partial intervals and broad zones of lower tungsten grades. The company is currently evaluating whether tungsten could be considered as a by-product in the future.
Context: RC Gold, Resource Base and Next Steps of Sitka Gold
The RC Gold Project is a 431 km² district-scale, road-accessible project approximately 100 km east of Dawson City. The Blackjack and Eiger deposits, for which NI 43-101 compliant pit-constrained resources have been reported, are also located within the so-called Clear Creek Intrusive Complex (CCIC):
- Blackjack: Indicated 1.291 million ounces of gold in 39.962 million tonnes at 1.01 g/t gold; inferred 1.044 million ounces of gold in 34.603 million tonnes at 0.94 g/t gold.
- Eiger: Inferred 440,000 gold in 27.362 million tonnes at 0.50 g/t gold.
Against this background, Sitka Gold classifies the Rhosgobel zone as a growing component of the overall project. Previous drilling along the 2.0 × 1.5 km gold-in-soil anomaly focused on the core area; follow-up work aims to extend the strike and depth, as well as correlate geochemistry, vein stockwork density and grades. Visible gold over the entire drilled strike and the accumulation of intervals with >100 g/t·m indicate continuity within the system; definitive statements on resources in Rhosgobel remain reserved for the pending analyses and a possible future estimate.
Outlook: Sitka Gold expects results for the remaining 26 Rhosgobel holes as well as numerous drill holes from the Blackjack/Saddle, Eiger and other areas. Based on the incoming data, the company plans to prioritize further drilling targets in order to determine the geometry of the RIRGS mineralization in Rhosgobel more precisely and to examine its integration into the existing resource framework of the RC Gold Project. The RC Gold Project is apparently growing more and more!
