Copper explorer Max Resource Corp. (TSX.V: MAX; OTC: MXROF; FRA: M1D2) is strengthening its leadership team with the addition of a highly technically savvy Vice President of Exploration. The role at Max will be assumed by Bruce Counts, a geologist specializing in geophysical survey methods, who already knows the Cesar project in northeastern Colombia very well and brings 30 years of experience in international exploration projects as well as project development and deposit evaluation.
Bruce Counts said, “I have had the privilege of visiting the project twice and observing the prospective targets in the field. I am confident that the Cesar project has the potential to host several world class copper-silver deposits. The sheer size of the mineralized system at Cesar is impressive. Max has identified 21 compelling targets in three distinct districts spanning a 90 km stretch of the Cesar Basin. Our exploration team will soon commence a regional airborne magnetic and radiometric survey along the entire length of the project. This data will support the Company’s work to prepare the highest priority targets for drilling and facilitate the search for additional copper deposits in this under-explored part of Colombia.”
Brett Matich, CEO of Max Resource, added, “We are very pleased to have secured a VP of Exploration with Bruce’s experience and caliber. Bruce will lead our exploration efforts in developing the 188 square kilometer mining concessions and 1,000 square kilometer claims MAX has acquired over the past three years.”
