Tocvan Ventures – Picacho Drilling Update (Mineralization Intersected, Assays Pending)
Tocvan Ventures continues to drill the first ever drill program at the El Picacho Project in Sonora, Mexico. We have intersected mineralization in all drill holes to date. We are working with an experienced drill contractor with extensive experience drilling the 3 million ounce San Francisco Mine from exploration to mine development, just 18 km’s away from Picacho. We anticipate a busy operating season ahead and look forward to advancing both our projects in Sonora.
About the El Picacho Property
The El Picacho Gold-Silver property is interpreted as an orogenic gold system within the regional Caborca Orogenic Gold Belt known for producing gold mines that include La Herradura, (10+ Moz Au) and San Francisco (3+ Moz Au). The project is 140 kilometers north of Hermosillo and only 18 kilometers southwest of the producing San Francisco Mine. The Project totals 24 square kilometers. Five primary zones of mineralization have been identified across the property totalling over six kilometers of prospective trends. Surface sampling and historic workings have identified high-grade gold and silver values. The project has only seen widely spaced reconnaissance drilling with no follow-up. Tocvan believes this provide an excellent opportunity for discovery of a muti-million ounce district.
All drilling completed to date has intersected mineralization, alteration and quartz veining that coincides with zones typically elevated in gold and silver. All samples will be assayed promptly. Results will be disseminated after passing QA/QC protocols.
