{kanada_flagge}During infill drilling to delineate a resource at its Cabin gold project, NT, Canada, Rover Metals Corp. (TSXV:ROVR; FRA:4X0) has encountered a new medium- to high-grade vein in the so-called Beaver zone. Geologists suggest that the Beaver zone, currently defined as approximately 90 metres long near surface, is geologically linked to the already known high-grade Arrow zone to the southeast. The Beaver Zone is located approximately 400 meters northwest of the Arrow Zone, which was the focus of the Company’s 2020 exploration efforts. In addition, the Beaver Zone is open to the northwest and at depth. Like Arrow, Beaver mineralization is controlled by banded iron formation.
The Company reports several near-surface intercepts with economic gold grades at the Beaver Zone. Drilling highlights include: new drill hole CL-21-10, which reported 6.4 meters at 4.63 g/t Au (from 42.6 m to 49.0 m), including 2.6 meters at 7.80 g/t Au; new drill hole CL-21-15, which reported 5.8 meters at 2. 13 g/t Au (from 50.0 m to 55.8 m); new hole CL-21-39, which reported 4.6 meters at 2.21 g/t Au (from 11.0 m to 15.6 m); and new hole CL-21-40, which reported 4.5 meters at 0.84 g/t Au (from 13.8 m to 18.3 m). The results confirm and extend historical drilling at Beaver from the 1980s and returned higher grades than historical results.
The Company’s working hypothesis is that there is an ore shoot at Beaver that dips to the northwest in a similar manner and direction as the Arrow Zone. The Company commenced an IP ground survey at the Beaver and Arrow zones on November 28, 2021 to support 3D modeling of gold mineralization for delineation of Phase 3 drill targets for Q1-2022.
Judson Culter, CEO of Rover Metals, said, “We are very pleased to have found a new medium to high grade vein at Beaver. The objective of our drilling at Cabin was to access the 15 km of near surface iron formation on the project and delineate additional zones for deeper drilling in Q1-2022.”
