{kanada_flagge}Queensland Gold Hills Corp. (TSX.V: OZAU; OTCQB: MNNFF; FRA: MB3) has released initial promising surface samples from its newly acquired Mia lithium project in the James Bay region of Quebec: 18 outcrop samples (from 2021 and 2022) confirm the Mia Li-1 deposit with results averaging 2.65% Li2O. 3 outcrop samples from 2022 confirm spodumene observations at the Carte 1879 occurrence with results averaging 1.65% Li2O. An approximately 7 km trend of unsampled pegmatite between the two mineralized occurrences is highlighted as a significant area to be followed up in 2023. In total, the Mia lithium property in the James Bay area of Quebece covers an area of square kilometers.

President & CEO Alicia Milne said, “We are pleased with the encouraging sample results near the Mia Li-1 and Mia Li-2 deposits, which will provide valuable information for our 2023 exploration program.”

Details of 2021 and 2022 sampling
In 2021, a total of 17 pegmatite outcrop samples were collected by Services Géologiques T-Rex Inc. of Rouyn-Noranda, Québec (“SGT”) to verify the Mia Li-1 and Mia Li-2 lithium occurrences. Sample results confirmed the Mia Li-1 occurrence with five grab samples averaging 2.31% Li2O, but failed to confirm the Mia Li-2 occurrence as two grab samples returned background lithium. One sample was collected 700 meters east of the Mia Li-1 area at 2.73% Li2O (referred to here as MIA 3). In addition, nine samples were collected south of Lac Miakadow to test a coarse-grained granitic rock type that lies outside the main trend and returned background lithium.
A follow-up program of nineteen pegmatite outcrop samples collected by SGT for CMH was conducted in the fall of 2022. Thirteen samples were collected from the Mia Li-1 area and confirmed the occurrence at an average grade of 2.79% Li2O. In addition, three samples were collected from the Carte 1879 area and detected spodumene for the first time at this site, with results averaging 1.65% Li2O. Three samples were collected from a pegmatite occurrence outside of Figure 1 and returned only background values of lithium.
Overall, samples from 18 outcrops at the Mia Li-1 deposit (5 in 2021 and 13 in 2022) have an average grade of 2.65% Li2O.

About the Mia Lithium Property
The property consists of 170 mineral claims, 62 km east of the community of Wemindji in the Eeyou Itschee Territory, James Bay, Quebec. The lithium mineral deposits are located approximately 10 kilometers from the nearest highway.
The geological setting of the property is part of the Yasinski Lake area, which is characterized by narrow greenstone belts belonging to volcanic rocks and associated sediments of the Yasinski Group, intruded by syn-tectonic tonalite and granodiorite sequences. The property is located at the western end of this geologic area and includes several lithologies and favorable structures known to host spodumene-bearing pegmatites. The southern half of the property includes a northeastern outcrop of the Vieux Comptoir granite and a coincident intrusive body described as a spodumene granite in SIGEOM, the Quebec provincial government’s geomining information system: https://sigeom.mines.gouv.qc.ca/signet/classes/I1108_afchCarteIntr.
Historical work by Main Exploration Company Ltd. in 1959 (GM10200) reported several spodumene-bearing pegmatites on the property and mapped an 8.3 kilometer trend of discontinuous pegmatite intrusions. SIGEOM lists nine metal occurrences directly on the Mia Lithium property, including two lithium occurrences, Mia Li-1 and Mia Li-2. Carte 1879 is listed as a spodumene mineral occurrence as no samples were recorded for this occurrence.
The westernmost mineral occurrences, Mia-Li1 and Mia-Li2, were sampled by Quebec government geologists in 1997 and returned grades of 0.47% Li2O and 2.27% Li2O, respectively. Numerous pegmatite intrusions have been noted along the 8.3 kilometer trend, but have never been analyzed for lithium potential. The 1959 report also describes that the pegmatite dykes are up to 30.5 meters wide and frequently zoned, with spodumene crystals up to 0.61 meters in length.
