{australien_flagge}Parkway Corporate Limited (ASX: PWN; FRA: 4IP) intends to work even more closely and comprehensively with internationally recognized engineering services provider Worley in the future. Both companies have extended their existing global strategic cooperation agreement from May 8, 2020 accordingly. Among other things, the term of the agreement has been extended from the previous three to five years.
For the first time, iBC® technology, a patented technology for the pre-cleaning of brine, will become part of the cooperation. So far, the cooperation has been limited to the membrane-based aMES® technology for recovering valuable materials from wastewater.
Group Managing Director & CEO of Parkway, Bahay Ozcakmak, explained the new agreement as follows: “In parallel with our ongoing efforts to commercialize our highly innovative aMES® technology, we are actively pursuing a number of significant projects suitable for the application of our application of our iBC® technology. In support of these various business development initiatives, we conducted extensive iBC®-related pilot projects in 2021. These pilot projects have been very successful. It has been confirmed that the iBC® technology is capable of recovering valuable products from otherwise problematic wastewater, including concentrated brines. Based on these findings, we expect that the application of our iBC® technology will potentially allow wastewater streams to reach so-called zero liquid discharge (ZLD) levels, saving customers significant wastewater treatment and disposal costs and even allowing them to potentially generate significant value from their wastewater.”
In recent months Parkway, has been rapidly advancing the technology and finalizing the design for an enlarged iBC® pilot plant. Construction of the new pilot plant is expected to begin this quarter. The new iBC® pilot plant will be used to conduct testing on a larger scale. This will optimize process design and produce product samples for industry evaluation. The enlarged iBC® pilot plant should make it easier and faster to approach potential customers and partners.
Conclusion Parkway Corporate now has a portfolio of breakthrough process technologies for wastewater treatment. Sustainability and the idea of a circular economy are central. The internationally recognized engineering firm Worley serves Parkway as a reliable partner, but more importantly as a door opener with Worley’s major customers. The fact that both partners are expanding their cooperation at this particular time is a clear indication that both are convinced of the economic success of the new technologies.
