First Phosphate Corp. has received conditional approval to list its common shares on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker “PHOS.” Final approval of the listing is contingent upon the company meeting certain customary conditions of the CSE. Just a few days ago, the company announced an oversubscribed private placement totaling $4.45 million.
Peter Kent, President of First Phosphate, commented, “We believe that First Phosphate will be the only pure-play publicly traded company in the world dedicated exclusively to the production of clean, high quality and ethically sourced phosphate material for the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery industry. The conditional approval is another important milestone for First Phosphate, especially as we are currently witnessing the global transition to LFP energy storage.”
Proceeds are to be used for general working capital purposes and exploration activities. All securities issued in connection with this closing are subject to a statutory hold period of four months and one day. In addition, the shares issued in connection with this closing are subject to a contractual hold period with a timetable for release within 12 months of the listing of the shares for trading on a securities exchange.
First Phosphate holds a total of 1,500 square kilometers of exploration licenses in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region of Quebec, Canada, which it is actively developing to produce battery grade phosphate. All claims are strategically located in the region surrounding the city of Saguenay. Saguenay has easy access to a deepwater port as well as a skilled workforce. Flights to Montreal operate daily.
