Amendment Application Also Successful
Q Precious Battery Metals
Peak copper grades rose to 4.2%, and the by-products gold, silver, and zinc also promise to make attractive contributions to potential future mining operations. Q Precious and Battery Metals aims to build on these successes from last year in its drilling program this year.
To advance the project’s development, QMET not only applied for permits for new drilling but also submitted an amendment to the original application. This amendment requested permission to construct roads and drilling platforms on the site to better progress with the work.
Q Precious and Battery Metals Expected to Begin First Drillings in March
Canadian authorities have approved this amendment request. Access to the primary drilling targets should therefore become easier in the future. The drilling program is planned as a winter drilling program and is expected to begin in March 2025. The focus is likely to be on the anomalies found in the area of drill holes 24LCS-01 to 24LCS-03 and further south.
The latter are referred to as EMG-1 and EMG-2 and currently represent the priority drilling targets. Both anomalies are located within the same volcanic deposition horizon. This horizon dips to the east, with EMG-1 located at depth below EMG-2. The depth extension of these target anomalies ranges from 110 to 325 meters.
