Abitibi Metals announces company is adding 3rd drill rig to aggressive drill program at B26 Deposit
Abitibi Metals Corp CEO Jonathon Deluce joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share exciting developments regarding the company’s ongoing maiden drill program at the B26 Polymetallic Deposit. Deluce revealed that Abitibi Metals Corp has secured a third drill rig to bolster its exploration efforts significantly.
This additional drill rig is slated to arrive promptly, aligning seamlessly with the company’s ambitious timeline. Deluce emphasized that this strategic move will ensure that Abitibi Metals Corp stays firmly on course to complete an extensive drilling campaign spanning over 10,000 meters across its three primary targets by the end of the quarter. This endeavor marks the initial phase of a fully funded 30,000-meter field season slated for 2024.
Deluce elaborated on the operational plan, indicating that the two existing drill rigs are diligently focused on the B26 Main Deposit and the Satellite West Target. Meanwhile, the newly acquired third rig will be swiftly deployed to advance exploration activities at the Company’s top priority target, the “Eastern Extension.” This area holds significant promise, with historical drilling intercepting notable mineralization, including 2.32% Cu Eq over 89.5 meters, with a standout section featuring 3.98% CuEq over 22.5 meters (1274-13-117).
Once the Eastern Extension targets are thoroughly explored and assessed, Abitibi Metals Corp will pivot its attention to the next phase of its exploration strategy. This entails embarking on a 2,500-meter drill program at the Beschefer Gold Project. Deluce highlighted the immense potential of this project, citing historical intersections such as 55.63 g/t gold over 5.57 meters and 13.07 g/t gold over 8.75 meters.
