{kanada_flagge}This is what excellent drill results look like! Copper and gold explorer Brixton Metals (TSX BBB / WKN A114WV) presents first results from the first ever drill program at the Trapper gold target, which is part of the Thorn project – and they are quite something!
To date, Brixton has had results back from the lab for the first three of 15 drill holes at Trapper. In total, the holes had a length of about 3,107 meters, so they haven’t penetrated far below surface yet. The Company will release the results of the remaining 12 holes as soon as they are available.
In particular, drill hole THN21-186 proved to be extremely rich. It returned 11 metres of 19.25 g/t gold from a depth of 50 metres within a thicker intercept of 139 metres of 2.14 g/t gold! The runaways on the upside were 276 g/t gold over 0.46 meters and 150 g/t gold over 0.50 meters! All of this contained in a mineralization interval of 187.5 meters in total, averaging 1.6 g/t gold.
Christina Anstey, Brixton‘s VP Exploration, is naturally very pleased about those results. She is particularly encouraged by the high grades within thicker, lower grade intersections. At Brixton, they are now eagerly awaiting the results of several other drill holes that contained thick mineralization intervals with diorite associated with visible gold! As Ms. Anstey explained, there is great potential for extending gold mineralization given the extent of this target’s geochemical signature, which has been extended to 4 kilometers strike length with widths of up to 1.5 kilometers. (Trapper represents the southern, 4-kilometer-long portion of an 11-kilometer-long gold geochemical anomaly.)
For CEO Gary R. Thompson, these results from the initial exploration program on the Trapper target are a gamechanger for the project. This is because the gold target has the potential to be of significant size with excellent gold grades. Brixton is now awaiting results not only from the remaining drilling but also from all other exploration activities at Trapper in order to prepare for the next round of drilling on the target as early as spring 2022.
Conclusion: Brixton has already delivered some strong drill results from the giant Thorn project, but today’s data are at another level. We believe that the market, which has been paying not too much attention to Brixton recently, will definitely take notice now. We will keep GOLDINVEST readers updated!
