Sonoro Gold – Cerro Caliche in Mexico next: 2 Drill Programs & Heap Leach Operation
Sonoro’s highly experienced team have been developing a heap leach operation at Cerro Caliche and intend to start gold production in Q4/2021. The explorer has just started two further drill programs. One shallow resource drilling round should increase the existing gold inventory of 201,000 ounces gold equivalent. This resource should then support the planned gold production of up to 40,000 ounces per year. The second drill program should go into deeper regions. Sonoro’s neighbour Premier Gold Mines used to run the Mercedes gold mine as a profitable open pit operation and the mine has ended up in a valuable underground operation. Drill results from both drill programs are expected to be released in the next 4 months. Sonoro achieved a capital raise of 8 mio. CAD in August 2020.
