{kanada_flagge}Based on a new 3D model, Fancamp Exploration Ltd. (TSXV: FNC; FRA: 3F9) plans to resume exploration drilling at its high-grade Stoke copper project in Quebec for the first time in more than a decade. It is already Fancamp’s third drilling program for 2022.
The Stoke project is located in the Eastern Townships of Quebec (Figure 1) and is known for its particularly high-grade copper deposits. Highlights of historical drilling on the property include 7.29% Cu over 6.40 metres in the Phelps Dodge “Copper Zone” depth extension (drill hole 2011-06) and 6.21 gpt Au in the “Grand Prix” gold zone. This included a 1.0 meter intercept of 22.4 gpt Au, 7.73% Zn, 1.73% Cu and 2.62% Pb (drill hole ST-2010-06) (Figures 2 and 3).
Figure 1: Stoke is located on the eastern edge of Quebec. Exploration is focused on the “Grand Prix” zone.
The new 3D model focuses on the potential thickness variations of the different stratigraphic units. Of particular interest are abrupt thickness changes that may be associated with faults and/or trenches where hydrothermal fluids may be concentrated. Fancamp intends to drill test holes on the paleosurface to reveal potential metal concentrations.

Summary: Fancamp is systematically dusting the best of its many exploration properties. The company is using state-of-the-art geophysical methods including artificial intelligence. The focus of the first three drill programs is on copper (and zinc) in Quebec. Project number one is Harvey Hill, a past producing, copper and precious metal bearing project with excellent road access located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of the town of Thetford Mines in the Appalachian Mountains of Quebec. Project number two is the Clinton copper-zinc massive sulphide project also in Quebec. There, too, mining was already underway at shallow depths between 1973 and 1975. The exploration history at Clinton goes back 75 years. Now the Stoke project has been added as a third project. It is purely an exploration project with no previous production, but there is promising historical exploration data. Fancamp will probably pull more of its exploration assets out of the drawer in the foreseeable future. The company has the money to do so.
