New Drilling Still in Q4
Heritage Mining (WKN A3DTM6 / CSE HML) has followed the recommendation of renowned experts Brett Davis and Dr. Gregg Morrison and expanded the Drayton-Black-Lake gold project with additional claims. This acquisition increased the total area of the project located in northwestern Ontario to 18,907 hectares.
The newly acquired Zone 3 represents an exploration area that appears to be very interesting for intrusion-related gold mineralization. Site visits and the results of recent drilling have prompted the two geology experts to advocate for the acquisition of the new claims.
Brett Davis pointed out that field and core examinations have shown that Zone 3 has the best gold discovery potential. It became clear that the Drayton-Black-Lake project as a whole holds significant potential. The newly acquired areas therefore offer Heritage Mining the opportunity to make discoveries beyond the orogenic veins in the volcanics, which have traditionally been the focus of exploration.
The majority of the work planned for 2024 has already been completed
UAV magnetic surveys were conducted along the contact zone of the Lake of Bays Batholith in recent weeks. They were completed in October and now need to be evaluated. The ground-based prospecting program conducted along the contact line has also progressed very well. It is currently about 90% complete.
For the newly acquired claims, Heritage Mining has immediately submitted permits for IP surveys and initial drilling to the Canadian authorities. This will allow exploration of this zone to begin as soon as the regulatory authority gives the green light. Drilling activity in the already approved areas of Zone 3 is expected to resume shortly. Heritage Mining anticipates that these drilling operations can begin within the current quarter.
New Drilling Still in the Current Quarter
To advance the drilling and make it more effective and efficient, Heritage Mining has leased an ODR 100 drill and contracted Miontaur Drilling Inc. as a subcontractor to carry out the drilling. This decision was logical, as Minotaur Drilling has already worked for large and smaller companies in the industry such as Rio Tinto, Mosaic, Cameco, and Hudson Bay Mining, and has more than 35 years of experience in conducting these operations – and also has extensive expertise in geological conditions similar to those prevalent on Heritage Mining’s project.
The leased ODR 100 drill is also equipped with all-weather gear. In the future, this should enable Heritage Mining to continue its work without interruptions even in less favorable weather conditions. Additionally, field work can then be planned to allow for continuous drilling activity on the project. This eliminates or reduces the time-consuming set-up and dismantling work for the drilling equipment used.
