Targets for resource delineation to be prioritized

Flake graphite is the primary target of E-Power Resources (CSE: EPR, WKN: A3CL8W) at the Tetepicsca project in the north of the Canadian province of Québec. The work carried out there to date is now to be continued with a metallurgical test series. Renowned testing company SGS Canada has been commissioned to carry out this work.

The metallurgical tests will be carried out on samples taken on the project at SGS Canada’s laboratories in Lakefield, Ontario. The aim of the work is to analyze and evaluate the metallurgy of the samples in detail.

In addition to the level of graphite concentration, the maximum flake size will also be a focus of the study. E-Power Resources will then use the results of the study to further evaluate the Tetepisca property in terms of its flake graphite characteristics in order to focus future work on those parts of the property that are of particular interest in this respect.

More than a ton of sample material was collected last year

The starting point for the test series is favourable, as the Tetepsica project hosts a number of surface mineralization zones that have the potential to be flake graphite resources. The plan is to further evaluate the geology, mineralogy and metallurgy of the concession area by the 2025 field season in order to determine priority targets for drilling based on these results. At the end of the process, targets for resource delineation will be prioritized.

Samples with a total weight of 1,037 kilograms were collected in the 2024 field season in preparation for the test series now starting. They come from the Captain Cosmos, Syndicate and Graphi West showings, among others. The Company has had a preliminary flake graphite recovery assessment completed on the Tetepisca samples by Volt Carbon Technolgies Inc. utilizing Volt’s proprietary separation technology. Various test runs were carried out on selected samples, which showed that large and giant flakes occur in all samples. There are also indications that the graphite can be separated from the Tetepisca ore feed using Volt’s proprietary technology.

The Tetepisca property, which is 100% controlled by E-Power Resources, is located approximately 220 km north of the town of Baie-Comeau in the north of the province of Québec. The property consists of 230 claims covering an area of approximately 12,620 hectares in the emerging Tetepisca graphite district.
