{kanada_flagge}We had already pointed it out some time ago: The Trapper gold target, which is part of Brixton Metals’ (TSXV BBB / WKN A114WV) Thorn project, could become a company maker for the exploration company! Because once again Brixton presents spectacular drill results from this area.
Conclusion: The powerful intercepts, near-surface gold mineralization – as Brixton presents today from Trapper – are as mentioned not an isolated case. For example, while the highlight of recent results was 5.74 g/t gold over 64 meters, a little while ago the Company reported 11.0 meters of 19.25 g/t gold within an intercept of 139.0 meters of 2.14 g/t gold! We are impressed with the continued strong results from this extremely promising gold target, which the company says has room to grow in all directions. We will definitely stay tuned!
As has just been announced, hole HN22-255 shows 262 meters of mineralization averaging 1.04 g/t gold from a depth of just 12 meters! Of this, 147.19 meters contain an average of 1.59 g/t gold, 75.49 meters an average of 2.35 g/t gold and 6.93 meters an average of 7.16 g/t gold.
Hole THN22-254 is only slightly less impressive with 102 meters at 1.02 g/t gold from only 4 meters depth. 39 meters of this hole show an average of 2.11 g/t gold and 8 meters an average of 5.60 g/t gold!
No wonder Vice President of Exploration, Christina Anstey, is encouraged by the strong, near-surface drill intercepts on the Trapper gold target that begin near surface… This gold mineralization with visible gold in quartz diorite rocks has already significantly expanded the scope of the Trapper target, which remains open in all directions, Anstey said.
Brixton is now eagerly awaiting results from an additional 19 holes drilled on Trapper and the remaining three deep holes drilled on the Camp Creek copper porphyry target from the 2022 Thorn drilling program.
Which included a total of 58 drill holes with an overall length of 18,200 meters spread over four areas. The majority of the holes were drilled on Camp Creek and to a lesser extent on the Outlaw (gold) and Metla (copper-gold) targets. Brixton will continue to release results as they come in from the lab.
Brixton had also collected a total of 520 rock samples and 1,157 soil samples in 2022, focusing on the Metla and Trapper targets and the East and Val copper targets. A total of 1.229 line kilometers of magnetic and radiometric surveys were flown over the Metla, Trapper, Val, and East targets.
Gold mineralization at the Trapper target is structurally controlled, and northwest, east-west and northeast trends have been identified. Mineralization appears to favor contact between Cretaceous quartz diorite and Triassic volcanic lapilli tuffs, with broad gold intercepts occurring largely within the quartz diorite unit. The gold is associated with silver and base metal veins in the form of pyrite-galena-sphalerite +/- chalcopyrite +/- bornite. Predictability of the gold-bearing zones will be achieved through the use of oriented core surveys, surface mapping, geochemistry and magnetics. Current drilling at the Trapper target is located approximately 7 kilometers southeast of the Camp Creek Copper Porphyry target. The Trapper target appears on surface as a 4 kilometers northwest trending gold and zinc soil geochemical anomaly that is part of a larger 11 kilometer gold geochemical anomaly.
