{kanada_flagge}Under the terms of the earn-in agreement with Brixton Metals (TSXV: BBB; FRA: 8BX1), Robert Friedland’s private company Ivanhoe Electric Inc. has eleven years to invest $44.5 million (USD$4.5M cash to Brixton and USD$40M in the ground) in exchange for a 75 percent interest in the Hog Heaven Cu-Au project in Montana, USA. Already after the first earn-in season, Brixton is taking stock: apparently, Ivanhoe Electric has advanced important things in a short period of time.
These include the completion of a 14,500 meter program of re-surveying current and historical drill core, the re-collection of approximately 2,600 pulp samples from historical drill holes at the Flathead Mine and Ole Hill (results pending). The objective is to reclassify the historical mineral resources to NI 43-101 standards.
Ivanhoe Electric has also collected 337 soil samples and additional rock chip samples and updated geological mapping throughout the district. In addition, a 3D induced polarization (IP) survey and a ground gravity survey were performed on the entire project. Ivanhoe Electric specializes in this type of survey. Last but not least, the first phase of an Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) was completed.
The Hog Heaven Cu-Au project is an advanced stage exploration property that has historically produced high grade silver, gold and copper. Between 1913 and 1975, Anaconda Copper Mining and lessees produced 6.7 million ounces of Ag, 3,000 ounces of Au, 23 million pounds of Pb, and 0.6 million pounds of Cu from 0.23 million tons of Direct Ship Ore grading 29 opt Ag. The property, accessible by road, is located in Flathead County, 55 miles south-southwest of the town of Kalispell in northwestern Montana, USA.

Christina Anstey, Vice President of Exploration, stated, “We are encouraged to see the progress that the Ivanhoe Electric team has been able to make in such a short period of time. We look forward to the results of the ongoing scoping study as well as potential new discoveries outlined with the new detailed sampling and advanced geophysical surveys conducted throughout the area.”
