C., 89 were successful. This results in a hit rate of 96.74%. Yesterday, as expected, the company released the final set of 2022 results. Once again, 22 of 23 newly reported drill holes within the 1.6 square kilometer area in the Surebet zone were successful. They intersected broad high-grade intervals of gold-silver mineralization, demonstrating the continuity of this newly discovered large gold system.

Once again, 22 of 23 newly reported drill holes within the 1.6 square kilometer area in the Surebet zone were successful. They intersected broad high-grade intervals of gold-silver mineralization, demonstrating the continuity of this newly discovered large gold system.
Based on drill results from 56 holes drilled in 2021 and 2022 within the 1.6 square kilometer Surebet Zone, the main mineralized horizon has an average grade of 6.31 gpt AuEq (4.45 gpt Au and 110.70 gpt Ag) and an average width of 6.88 meters. Assays have confirmed that the Surebet Zone extends over at least 1.6 square kilometers, in an area extending from North Rubble to Pad 1, Pad 11 and Pad A, and remains open.

The latest set of assay results included hole GD-22-100, drilled from Pad 13 (650 metres west of Surebet Main), which intersected broad high-grade gold mineralization of 13.53 gpt AuEq (12.10 gpt Au and 54.13 gpt Ag) over 11.00 metres, including 24.56 gpt AuEq (21.98 gpt Au and 97.94 gpt Ag) over 6.00 metres. This hole measured 148.87 grams (AuEq) x meters and was among the top three holes of 2022 (the best hole was GD-22-58 with 272.80 grams (AuEq) x meters from the South Cliff Stepout Pad).
2022 results as strong as 2021 results
Quinton Hennigh, Technical and Geological Director of strategic investor Crescat Capital commented, “Results from Goliath’s 2022 drill season have proven to be similarly strong to those from 2021. It appears that a continuous high grade area is lighting up along the Surebet Zone near the large northeast trending fault that intersects this area. Although the nature of this structure was previously unknown, drill results from 2022 indicate that it is indeed a feeder zone for the entire Surebet mineralized system. Importantly, there appear to be multiple overlying mineralized structures here that could potentially host significant tonnage of high-grade mineralization.”
Roger Rosmus, founder and CEO of Goliath Resources, stated, “The latest assay results from the 2022 drill season at Surebet reconfirm the discovery of a significant gold-silver mineralized system on the Golddigger property. Based on the excellent results obtained in terms of both grade and thickness, this discovery is rapidly becoming a new world-class high-grade gold discovery that has already attracted the interest of several mining companies and institutions.”
Figure 2: Golddigger exploration is just beginning. The Surebet discovery lies in an 8 kilometer by 3.5 kilometer corridor that Goliath has identified as a high-yield exploration target.
The bottom line is that two aggressive drilling campaigns in both 2021 and 2022 have been sufficient to suggest the world-class format of a deposit that was previously completely unknown. That alone would be a spectacular achievement for a junior mining company. Since the Surebet discovery is open in many directions, there is a good chance that the discovery will be even bigger in the coming season. In addition, however, Goliath has already made several new discoveries of high-grade vein mineralization on the huge Golddigger property in 2022. The focus is on a northeast-trending fault that cuts across the entire license area, and the northeast in particular appears to offer further promising targets (see Figure 2). Do other Surbet zones exist? We look forward to the answers that the coming drilling season will provide.
