Khiron Life Sciences expands its cannabis cultivation footprint in Colombia

Khiron Life Sciences Corp (CVE:KHRN) continues to expand its footprint in Colombia, as the integrated medical cannabis company is licensed to cultivate, produce, distribute domestically and internationally export medical cannabis (THC and CBD).

Chief financial officer Darren Collins says the company is focused on the high-end, medical side of the market. He adds that the potential for demand Latin America is significant with a booming market of 620mln people.

Matt Murphy, VP of Compliance and former DEA agent, says the company follows U.S. DEA level security protocols and has developed a compliance and security plan that identifies and mitigates risks for Khiron.

Collins says that the company's team is split between Toronto, Canada and Bogota, Colombia.
