FYI Resources (ASX: FYI; FRA: SDL) posted a noteworthy tweet last Friday in response to a story in the English-language Korean daily newspaper The Korean Herald. LG Chem is acquiring LG Electronics' separator business for 525 billion won ($458.5 million), the paper reported last Thursday. LG Chem manufactures cathodes, binders for anodes and additives for electrolytes, and plans to expand its leading role in this growth market as well by acquiring the separator business.

EcoGraf Limited (ASX: EGR, FRA: FMK) has reserved a 65,000 m² industrial site in Skellefteå, Sweden, as a potential location for a European RF-free EcoGraf™ battery anode material plant. The northern Swedish industrial town of Skellefteå is conveniently located on the Baltic coast. The fact that the battery company Northvolt is based in Skellefteå probably played a decisive role in the choice of location. In October 2017, Northvolt had decided to build a factory for the production of lithium-ion battery cells here. In June 2019, Volkswagen AG had participated in a joint venture with Northvolt AB. EcoGraf's reserved site is diagonally across the street from the new Northvolt factory, as the satellite image shows.

When the elephants fight, the grass suffers. So goes an African proverb. Tembo Gold (TSXV: TEM; FRA: T23A) and its shareholders can sing a song about how big politics can make life hell for junior exploration companies. Celebrated in 2011 at the IPO and already given the advance praise for a future world-class discovery, the stock today - despite a 3 to 1 amalgamation - is bobbing along at CAD 0.15: market value now only around CAD 12 million!

Four drill holes, four hits. The Surebet Zone at Goliath Resources' (TSXV: GOT; FRA: B4IF) Golddigger Project is living up to its name. The drill hole success rate to date is 100%. The fourth hole (GD21-004), drilled from the same Cliff Showing drill site as the first three holes, intersected 67.1 meters of quartz-sulfide veins, breccias and associated alteration.

Not even the first stage of the new EcoGraf™ battery anode materials plant in Australia has been built yet, and EcoGraf Limited (ASX: EGR, FRAG: FMK) is already securing financing for the expansion. The company announced today that the Australian Export Credit Agency, comparable to Germany's KfW, has committed to a $35 million loan to fund the expansion.
