After the start of the current, steep upward trend in gold and silver, which dates back to the beginning of last year, the indices that include precious metals and precious metal-related stocks also picked up with a slight delay. From mid-2024, the continuing strong price increase can be observed almost everywhere in this sector. The continuity of this movement seems to continue to exist – apart from pauses, there is no sign of a trend reversal downwards.
We have taken this as an opportunity to compare the performance of selected stocks that we follow on Goldinvest.de with the general market for the twelve-month period.
Since July 2024, gold has risen by around 40%, with silver lagging behind at around 25%.

One of the most important indices, the Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index (XAU), also rose similarly to gold by 37.8%:

But also the Arca Gold Index – NYSE Gold Bugs (41.3%) and the VanEck Junior Gold Miners with 38.8% rose in a similar order of magnitude.

One of our “youngsters” – Silver47 Exploration (WKN A408EQ / TSXV AGA) – has already achieved a plus of 50% in the current year and another new value on our list, Sranan Gold (WKN A416C1 / CSE SRAN), confirmed our selection criteria with a temporary sevenfold increase. Also the Goldinvest.de “Oldie” Ucore Rare Meals (WKN A2QJQ4 / TSXV UCU) brought more than gold in 12 months and rose by 76%.
