Company & Strategy
Sranan Gold Corp. is a Canadian exploration company focused on the discovery and development of gold deposits in Suriname, a country with decades of mining tradition and growing international importance in the gold sector. The company’s main project,
Sranan Gold is pursuing a clear growth strategy based on systematic exploration, technical expertise, and local integration. The goal is to define high-grade gold zones through targeted drilling programs and geophysical analyses that can be developed into an economically viable project.
In addition to its focus on Suriname, Sranan Gold also owns exploration rights in British Columbia, Canada, with the Aida Property, consisting of five mineral claims in the Kamloops Mining District. This project represents a geographic diversification, while the main focus remains on the gold potential in South America.
Market Environment
The Guiana Shield – a Globally Significant Gold Region
Suriname is part of the Guiana Shield, a geologically stable formation that extends over parts of Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, and northern Brazil. This region is home to 15 multi-million-ounce gold deposits and is considered one of the most important gold provinces in the world.
The modern gold rush in Suriname is supported by international investment and the country’s growing industrial infrastructure. Major projects such as Newmont’s Merian Mine and Zijin’s Rosebel Mine have demonstrated that Suriname has enormous geological potential.
Framework Conditions and Location Advantages
Suriname offers a stably growing investment environment, a mining-friendly government, and a common language (Dutch) with the key decision-makers in the company – an advantage that Sranan Gold is specifically leveraging.
The logistical conditions – access to labor, energy supply, and waterways – as well as cooperation with local communities strengthen the company’s operational prospects.

Project Portfolio
Tapanahony Gold Project (Suriname)
The Tapanahony Project represents the core of Sranan Gold’s exploration portfolio. With an area of 29,000 hectares, it comprises one of the largest contiguous exploration areas in the country and covers a region that has already been actively used by small miners for decades.
Geology and Exploration History
The geological structures of the project lie along significant orogenic gold systems, which are comparable to those of other world-class deposits in the Guiana Shield.
In 2011–2012, Iamgold conducted drilling in the area and confirmed gold mineralization over a strike length of more than 600 meters. Since then, the area has been further investigated using modern methods such as Lidar, geochemical sampling, and geophysical analyses.
Poeketi–Randy Pit Trend
The focus of current exploration activities is on the Poeketi–Randy-Pit trend, a mineralized system approximately 4.5 kilometers long with several parallel structures and active small-scale mining operations.
Recent results include:
- Grab samples with up to 26.7 g/t and 25.8 g/t gold from the Poeketi area (October 2025)
- Drill results with 11.5 meters @ 3.64 g/t gold in saprolite (September 2025)
- Trench results of 8.9 g/t over 5 meters (September 2025) and 36.7 g/t over 5 meters south of Randy’s Pit (August 2025)
These data confirm the presence of a contiguous, high-grade gold system that continues both along the strike and at depth.

Exploration Program 2025
The ongoing Exploration Program 2025 envisages drilling along the Poeketi-Randy trend, supplemented by further mapping, geochemical samples, and Lidar analyses.
The priorities are:
- Expansion of the known mineralized zones in Poeketi and Randy’s Pit
- Evaluation of as yet unexplored areas with active small-scale mining activity
- Use of historical Iamgold data to prioritize new drilling targets
- Potential expansion of concessions through the acquisition of adjacent areas
Aida Property (British Columbia, Canada)
Sranan Gold’s second project is the Aida Property in the Kamloops Mining District, British Columbia. It consists of five mineral claims and offers exploration potential for precious metals.
Although this project is still in an early stage, it represents a valuable addition to the portfolio and demonstrates the company’s geographic diversification across two continental resource regions.
Outlook
Sranan Gold is at a crucial point in its corporate development. With the ongoing exploration work at the Tapanahony Project and the recent high-grade results, the company has established a solid technical foundation.
The next steps include:
- Continued drilling and trenching programs to further confirm gold mineralization along the Poeketi-Randy trend.
- Preparation of an initial resource estimate based on the consistent results from 2025.
- Expansion of relations with local communities and sustainable development measures (ESG focus).
- Capital market activities to finance further drilling phases and potential expansion acquisitions.
With this strategy, Sranan Gold aims to position itself as a leading exploration player in the Guiana Shield and to develop an independent gold production project in the long term.
