What does Abitibi Metals do?
Abitibi Metals explores polymetallic deposits in Eastern Canada, focusing on copper, gold, zinc, and silver. The goal is to commercially develop an attractive VMS (volcanogenic massive sulfide) deposit like B26 in the medium term.
What role does SOQUEM play?
SOQUEM, a subsidiary of Investissement Québec, initially holds 20% of the B26 project and has a partner-side earn-in of up to 80%. Abitibi has so far contributed over CAD 10 million of the total CAD 14.5 million drilling program.
What is the financing profile?
The Phase 3 drilling campaign of approximately 20,000 m is fully funded. In addition, a private placement of CAD 10 million was completed in April, and further funds were acquired from SIDEX in June. The balance sheet is thus secured until at least 2027.
What are the upcoming development steps?
The focus is on drilling results from the Phase 3 campaign, resource expansion, and conversion. In parallel, the gold-focused Beschefer project is being advanced. Upcoming data publications are expected to lead to stock price movements and new investor contributions.
