Sitka Gold (WKN A2JG70 / TSXV SIG) once again reports strong drill results from its 100% controlled, year-round road-accessible RC Gold Project in the Tombstone Gold Belt of Canada’s Yukon.
According to the company, this exploration drilling intersected high-grade gold mineralization in three target areas, including for the first time a drill hole in the Bear Paw Breccia Zone. In addition, 2025 drill holes from the Contact Zone and the Pukelman Intrusion were evaluated. All three targets are located in the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex (CCIC, a reduced intrusion-related gold system), which also contains the Blackjack and Eiger deposits and the newly discovered Rhosgobel deposit.
Wide, altered zones with stockwork-type or quartz veins were intersected – depending on the target area in metasediments (Contact), in a quartz monzonite intrusive body (Pukelman) or in breccia bodies (Bear Paw). Sitka Gold emphasizes that the information obtained should help to better track mineralized structures with higher grades and plan future drilling in an even more targeted manner.
Sitka Gold: Three target areas deliver significant gold intervals
The announcement focuses on three drill sections which, according to the company, underscore the proximity to the already Blackjack, Eiger and Rhosgobel deposits. In the Bear Paw Breccia Zone, for example, drill hole DDRCCC-25-117 returned a 21.0-meter interval grading 1.05 g/t gold, including 10.0 meters grading 1.64 g/t and 3.5 meters grading 2.29 g/t. This is Sitka Gold’s first drill hole in this zone, which had previously only been delineated by soil sampling and historical drilling.
From the Contact Zone, Sitka Gold reports 37.0 meters at 1.10 g/t gold from a depth of 22 meters for drill hole DDRCCC-25-115. Within this section, the company highlights higher-grade sub-intervals, including 4.5 meters at 6.10 g/t and 1.1 meters at 22.1 g/t. Interestingly, Sitka has observed visible gold in these veins, although such observations are not a reliable indicator of gold content and only laboratory analyses are conclusive.
In the Pukelman Intrusion, Sitka reports gold for drill hole DDRCCC-25-118 at 23.6 meters at 1.00 g/t gold, including a 2.0-meter interval at 5.0 g/t. The company also mentions another drill hole from the same target area: DDRCCC-25-119 which returned 3.0 meters at 9.2 g/t gold, including 1.0 meter at 22.8 g/t.
Contact and Pukelman: Metasediments, intrusion and the transition
Sitka Gold describes the Contact-Pukelman Zone as an area where metasedimentary-hosted and intrusion-related mineralization occur in close proximity to each other. According to the company, six diamond drill holes were completed in Contact (totaling 2,172 meters) and three diamond drill holes were completed in Pukelman (totaling 1,876 meters) in 2025. The goal was to expand the mineralized footprint, better understand the structural controls on the with oriented drill core, and test possible relationships between metasedimentary and intrusion-related mineralization.
According to Sitka, based on the drilling to date, the mineralization has now been traced over a lateral extent of approximately 900 meters by 650 meters and to a depth of approximately 430 meters!

Bear Paw Breccia: First Sitka borehole confirms historical evidence, next steps 2026
For the Bear Paw Breccia Zone, Sitka Gold refers to a previously known mineralized breccia body measuring approximately 500 x 200 meters, consisting of monzonitic veins, sills, and intrusive breccias cutting through metasediments of the Hyland Group. According to the company, historical work between 1999 and 2011 included both core and RC drilling. Sitka Gold’s 2025 drill hole (DDRCCC-25-117; 400.8 meters total) confirmed these historical indications and also provided additional structural information that will be incorporated into the planning of further drilling.
CEO Cor Coe said the company is encouraged by the combination of wide gold intervals and recurring higher-grade structures. A 60,000-meter diamond drilling program is planned for 2026, which will both expand the known deposits in the CCIC and advance new zones toward potential additional resource calculations. In addition, assay results from 15 (!) additional diamond drill holes from the Rhosgobel intrusion are still pending and will be released as soon as possible after receipt and evaluation.
Prior to the start of the 2025 drilling season, Sitka had already reported an updated resource estimate for the Blackjack gold deposit. According to this, Blackjack now comprises indicated resources of 1.291 million ounces of gold at 1.01 g/t gold and inferred resources of 1.044 million ounces at 0.94 g/t gold. This represented a clear increase in both average grade and contained ounces compared to the initial resource estimate from 2023.
In view of the drill results reported subsequently, though, it can be assumed that this resource will only continue to grow. However, Sitka’s focus in the first quarter of the new year will be on an initial resource estimate for the Rhosgobel target.
