With up to 60,000 meters of drilling, Sitka Gold plans to further explore the dimensions of the RC Gold Project in the Tombstone Gold Belt in 2026, focusing on the new Rhosgobel discovery as well as the Blackjack and Eiger deposits.
Sitka Gold Significantly Ramps Up Drilling Activities at RC Gold Project
Sitka Gold (TSXV: SIG; FSE: 1RF; OTCQB: SITKF) has entered into an agreement with Whitehorse-based drilling expert Kluane Drilling Ltd. for up to 60,000 meters of diamond drilling for 2026 on the company’s RC Gold Project in the Yukon. This is the largest drilling program to date on the project – and effectively a doubling of the total meters drilled since 2020!
The RC Gold Project is located in the productive Tombstone Gold Belt and comprises a contiguous, road-accessible land package of approximately 431 square kilometers. The goal of the massively expanded activities in 2026 is to demonstrate that RC Gold hosts multiple gold-bearing deposits within the so-called Clear Creek Intrusive Complex (CCIC), thus possessing the potential of a new gold camp in the Yukon.
Kluane Drilling has more than 30 years of experience in diamond drilling in the Yukon and internationally. The company has already supported Sitka Gold in the past three years through winter and summer programs on the RC Gold Project and, according to Sitka, completed the 2025 drilling program on schedule and under budget – always important for exploration companies. On this basis, the cooperation is to be significantly expanded in 2026.
Rhosgobel in Focus: Sitka Gold Working on Third Gold System
A significant portion of the up to 60,000 meters of drilling next year will be allocated to the Rhosgobel target. In 2025, Sitka Gold identified a new intrusion-related gold system there, which, according to the company, is interpreted as a potentially third gold deposit within the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex.
In the course of the 2025 discovery program at Rhosgobel, visible gold mineralization was mapped over large areas on the surface, which led to an increase in the original drilling plan. Initial analysis results were, according to the company, “exceptional”: One highlighted section from drill hole DDRCRG-25-010 comprises 235.9 meters with 1.11 g/t gold from the surface, including 40.0 meters with 2.01 g/t gold and 10.0 meters with 5.29 g/t gold.
Additional geochemical and geophysical studies suggest that the Rhosgobel intrusion has expansion potential in all directions. The target area lies within a broad corridor of reduced, intrusion-related gold mineralization (RIRGS), as is typical of the Tombstone Gold Belt. With further drilling in 2026, Sitka Gold intends to better define the extent, geometry, and internal structures of the Rhosgobel zone and clarify whether the system could develop into a large-volume deposit.
Parallel to the drilling in Rhosgobel, other target areas in the CCIC with already successful initial drilling campaigns are to be further pursued, as well as additional target areas defined by gold-in-soil anomalies are to be transferred to the drilling status.
Blackjack and Eiger: RC Gold Project with Growing Resource Base
In addition to Rhosgobel, the already defined gold deposits Blackjack and Eiger remain cornerstones of Sitka Gold’s work on RC Gold. Both deposits represent typical Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems (RIRGS) with large-volume, predominantly near-surface mineralization.
For Blackjack, there is a resource estimate of 1.291 million ounces of gold in the indicated category (39.96 million tonnes at 1.01 g/t Au) and another 1.044 million ounces of gold in the inferred category (34.60 million tonnes at 0.94 g/t Au). At Eiger, 440,000 ounces of gold were reported in the inferred category (27.36 million tonnes at 0.50 g/t Au). Both gold deposits remain open at depth and laterally.
Especially at Blackjack, deep drilling in 2025 has attracted attention. Drill hole 076 intersected 65.0 meters with 2.00 g/t gold from a depth of 806 meters, including higher-grade intervals of 8.0 meters with 4.80 g/t gold and 6.26 meters with 5.53 g/t gold. In addition, a wide section from only 9 meters depth with 164.8 meters of 0.82 g/t gold was encountered, including 119.0 meters with 1.05 g/t, 37.9 meters with 2.05 g/t and 11.5 meters with 4.32 g/t gold. These results underscore the potential to delineate deeper, higher-grade zones for possible underground mining at Blackjack in addition to large-volume open-pit resources.
Other targets in the CCIC also deliver significant sections. For example, drilling in the Contact Zone confirmed gold mineralization from the surface, approximately 119.0 meters with 1.01 g/t gold including higher-grade sub-intervals. Sitka Gold plans to further expand these zones in 2026 with additional drilling and transfer them to a resource status.
Solid Financing and Large-Scale Program for the RC Gold Project
Sitka Gold considers itself to be in a good financial position for the significantly expanded work program in 2026. According to its own information, the company has more than CAD 45 million in cash and is debt-free. This means that the extensive drilling program on the RC Gold Project is fully financed in the coming year.
In addition to the new drilling plans, there is still a significant news buffer: A total of 35 diamond drill holes from the 2025 season with a total length of 11,279 meters are still awaiting final analysis results. These results will provide important information for the detailed planning of the 2026 drilling targets – both for Rhosgobel and for Blackjack, Eiger, Contact, Pukelman, BearPaw and other zones within the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex.
The RC Gold Project comprises a total of eleven mid-Cretaceous intrusions, which have already shown RIRGS-typical gold mineralization in several sub-areas with section values of over 100 g*m (g/t Au x meter). All important target areas are connected by an internal road network, which considerably facilitates the logistics of the drilling programs and enables year-round work in the project area.
With the now agreed 60,000-meter drilling program, the new discovery at Rhosgobel and the growing resources at Blackjack and Eiger, Sitka Gold is taking the next step in the systematic further development of the RC Gold Project. In view of the continued exceptionally positive metal price environment, we are therefore very excited about the year 2026!
