The momentum continues! Gold explorer Sitka Gold (TSXV SIG / Frankfurt 1RF) impresses again with its latest drilling results from the RC Gold project in Yukon. More than 300 meters of continuous gold mineralization has been demonstrated with drill hole DDRCCC-25-077, the first hole of the 30,000-meter summer program 2025!
As just announced, Sitka intersected 211.2 meters averaging 1.13 g/t gold with this drill hole, including 73.2 meters at 2.05 g/t gold! (Both are excellent values for the type of deposit Sitka is exploring and the gold grades in the region – and not just there!) Particularly encouraging: DDRCCC-25-077 is part of the drilling aimed at further expanding the already defined resources of the Blackjack deposit. The longest interval of gold mineralization from hole 77 was, by the way, 311.5 (!) meters at 0.85 g/t gold.
Visible Gold Observed in All Zones Explored by Sitka Gold!
Sitka Gold has already completed 23 drill holes as part of the 2025 program, with seven targeting Blackjack expansion, four holes aimed at expanding the Eiger deposit, and nine holes drilled in the Saddle Zone. The Saddle Zone lies within the – conceptual – boundary of a future Blackjack pit, and we’re eager to see if this year’s drill results suggest that Saddle represents a connection between Blackjack and Eiger.
The company will also drill three holes in the Rhosgobel Intrusion, located five kilometers south of the Blackjack, Saddle, and Eiger drilling.
Moreover, it was reported that drilling is progressing exceptionally quickly, with Sitka Gold already completing 10,000 of 30,000 meters – faster and more cost-effectively than expected. Not only is this encouraging, but also the news that visible gold has been observed in numerous drill holes across the various zones currently being drilled (Blackjack, Saddle, Eiger, and Rhosgobel)!
And although results from all other completed drill holes are still pending, the occurrence of visible gold in all target areas is a strong indication that the drilling program is likely to be successful in expanding known deposits and discovering new zones that could contain additional gold deposits, emphasized Sitka CEO Cor Coe,
He is particularly excited about the Rhosgobel target, as all three holes drilled there this year so far have shown visible gold – and that to a depth of 314.7 meters! These are good prospects for Sitka to prove another gold deposit at Rhosgobel. There, the company completed an initial successful drill hole last year, which yielded up to 164.8 meters at 0.82 g/t from a depth of only 9 meters below the surface. This also included 119.0 meters at 1.05 g/t gold, 37.9 meters at 2.05 g/t gold, and 11.5 meters at 4.32 g/t gold!
We now look forward to a steady stream of – hopefully positive – drill results in the coming weeks. These should help demonstrate to the market once again the potential of the area explored by Sitka Gold (Clear Creek Intrusive Complex) to host gold deposits containing several million ounces of gold!
