Sitka Gold (TSX-V:SIG) (Frankfurt 1RF) is significantly increasing the pace of drilling at its flagship RC Gold project in the Tombstone Gold Belt in Yukon this summer. No less than 30,000 meters of drilling are planned on the Clear Creek intrusion complex, roughly the same amount as in the past five years combined. For the first time, three drill rigs are in operation simultaneously, with a fourth rig already on site.
Drilling is currently focused on expanding the Blackjack and Eiger deposits and exploring the Saddle Zone, where geological observations and the largest and strongest gold-in-soil anomaly on the RC Gold Project suggest a connection between the two deposits. The company reports that visible gold has been observed in all drill holes drilled to date during the summer field season. At Eiger, where drilling has resumed for the first time since 2021, visible gold has been found for the first time ever. Visible gold was also found during the extension of drill hole 76 at Blackjack from 810.8 m to 944.9 m. This drill hole is the deepest ever drilled on the project. Assay results from these drill holes are pending.
The primary focus of this year’s diamond drilling program is to rapidly expand the Blackjack and Eiger gold deposits and to advance several other high-priority gold targets within the Clear Creek intrusion complex.
Cor Coe, Director and CEO of Sitka, commented: “The summer field season at RC Gold is off to a good start with three drill rigs already in operation and a fourth rig recently brought to site. The presence of visible gold in the first holes of the season, including the first-ever observations of visible gold in extension drilling at the Eiger deposit, continues to demonstrate the exceptional gold potential within the Clear Creek intrusion complex. This is the first follow-up drilling we have conducted at the Eiger deposit since 2021, and the observations of visible gold in these initial step-out drill holes to the west, towards the Saddle Zone and the Blackjack deposit, are very encouraging.”

Three drill rigs are focused on resource expansion at the Blackjack and Eiger deposits and initial follow-up drilling in the Saddle Zone, where the largest and strongest gold-in-soil anomaly on the property remains largely undrilled and where DDRCCC-23-054 intersected 84.0 m at 1.21 g/t gold.
Figure 2: An overview map of the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex (CCIC) showing the updated resource areas at Blackjack and Eiger as well as the six additional areas with drill targets indicated by the purple hatched areas.
The map highlights the numerous drill targets that Sitka has outlined within the CCIC, all of which are connected by the road network on the project and are located within an area of five (5) km north-south and twelve (12) km east-west. Additional areas highlighted by strong gold anomalies in the soil will be brought to drill readiness through additional geological work in 2025.
Conclusion: The 30,000-meter drill program planned for this year and fully funded will more than double the total drilling we have completed since drilling commenced in 2020. To date, Sitka has successfully discovered two gold deposits and outlined several high-priority targets that are ready for drilling. Sitka will drill as much in the current season as it has in the past five years combined. This promises a multiple increase in new flow compared to previous years and unprecedented attention for the company.
