There had already been indications that drill hole DDRCC-25-075 at Sitka Gold’s (WKN A2JG70 / TSXV SIG) RC Gold Project could be a success – after all, visible gold was observed in the drill cores in 130 (!) instances. And indeed, CEO Cor Coe’s company can now present exceptional drill results!

Sitka has just announced that hole 75, the first hole of the new 30,000-metre drill program, has produced the best high-grade mineralization intersection achieved to date at the Blackjack gold deposit. Over a section of 352.8 meters, 1.55 g/t gold was intersected, including 108.9 meters with 3.27 g/t gold and 45.0 meters with as much as 4.52 g/t gold!

This results also extended the high-grade gold zone that was discovered last year with hole 68 (678.1 meters at 1.04 g/t gold)! And the results from hole 75 once again impressively demonstrate the consistency and continuity of this high-grade gold zone – and they show that the gold grades appear to increase with increasing depth.

Potential for underground mining!

Which in turn indicates that there is also underground mining potential at the RC Gold project! At least below the Blackjack gold deposit whose resource has already been delineated with a view to possible open pit mining. To date, Sitka has proven 1.29 million ounces of gold at 1.01 g/t gold in the indicated category and 1.04 million ounces of gold at 0.94 g/t gold in the inferred category for Blackjack.

Hole 75 thus represents an extremely successful start to the huge 2025 drilling program, which is planned to be larger than all other previous drilling campaigns combined. And an equally successful continuation is already on the horizon, as Sitka is already waiting for the results from hole 76, the deepest hole to date, in which visible gold was observed in more than 60 instances!

Sitka’s CEO Coe stated, “These results build on our previous success with Blackjack and demonstrate that we have only just begun to unlock the potential of this large, contiguous 431 square kilometer gold district, where 11 intrusions have been identified at surface to date, all of which have intrusion-related gold mineralization and are considered priority targets for future exploration. The fact that we were able to generate a pit constrained mineral resource estimate of 1.3 million ounces of indicated gold grading 1.01 g/t gold and 1.0 million ounces of inferred gold grading 0.94 g/t gold at the Blackjack deposit with only 18,799 meters of drilling highlights the potential of the additional 30,000 meters of drilling planned for RC Gold this year. We are now awaiting results from hole 76, which again returned multiple visible gold showings and extended the vertical depth of mineralization in the Blackjack Zone to over 700 metres from surface, making it the deepest hole completed to date on the RC Gold project. The year 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting and pivotal year for Sitka as we strive to continue to create value for our shareholders through the rapid advancement of our flagship RC Gold project.”

To classify the drill results a bit better: 352.8 meters at 1.55 g/t gold result in a value of around 547 gram*meter – and in general, one speaks of economic grades from 100 gram*meter!
