Q Precious and Battery Metals (CSE: QMET / Frankfurt: 0NB) has reached an important milestone: The next phase of diamond drilling has begun on the La Corne South project in the Val d’Or mining region, Quebec.
The company has successfully established new access roads and drill sites to extract drill core samples from two high-priority geophysical target areas. The drilling is being carried out by First Class Diamond Drilling, which was already able to deliver promising initial results in 2024. The drilling program is now being continued and is expected to confirm additional mineralized zones.
Significant Discoveries of Gold, Silver, Copper, and Zinc
The previous drilling on the TDEM and magnetic anomalies in 2024 has yielded informative results. Massive and disseminated sulfide mineralizations with high grades of copper, silver, zinc, and gold were intersected. Particularly noteworthy are the results from drill holes 24LCS-01 and 24LCS-03:
- Drill hole 24LCS-01:
- 102.15 m to 127.6 m borehole depth with 0.83% copper equivalent over 25.45 m*, including:
- 122.75-123.3 m: 4.2% copper, 4% zinc, 0.17 ppm gold and 30.3 ppm silver
- 125.5-126 m: 2.61% copper
- 102.15 m to 127.6 m borehole depth with 0.83% copper equivalent over 25.45 m*, including:
- Drill hole 24LCS-03:
- 104.85 m to 112.75 m borehole depth with 1.17% copper equivalent over 7.9 m*, including:
- 108.75-109.75 m: 2.68% copper, 23.45 ppm silver
- 110.2-111.4 m: 2.66% copper, 24.05 ppm silver
- 104.85 m to 112.75 m borehole depth with 1.17% copper equivalent over 7.9 m*, including:
*The true width of the mineralization has not yet been determined.
The company now plans to investigate similar geophysical anomalies approximately two kilometers away. Geological modeling suggests that the new target areas EMG-1 and EMG-2 are located in a promising volcanic horizon.
Additionally, the existing drilling permit allows for the expansion of infrastructure for further exploration work in five additional target areas along a two-kilometer corridor.
There is plenty of potential available. The upcoming drilling campaign in Quebec, the promising results so far, and the forthcoming developments make QMET, in our opinion, an exciting option for investors who want to benefit from the rising gold price and are not afraid of risk. In addition, there are the company’s hydrogen projects, which could also trigger an increase in value, although there is still much work to be done!
