Platinex Enters Uranium Exploration with New Subsidiary Green Canada Corp.
On the South Timmins Mining Joint Venture, Platinex Inc. (CSE: PTX, FSE: 9PX, WKN: A0MVNG) has taken numerous soil samples on the Shining Tree, Heenan, and Mallard gold projects. They yielded encouraging results with up to 283 g/t gold, confirming the historical work of previous owners.
At Ronda, mechanized stripping and channel sampling are currently being conducted. This represents the first significant work program Platinex has carried out on this deposit since acquiring the Shining Tree Gold Project in 2022.
The Central Area includes the Herrick, Caswell Lake, and Ronda target zones. A total of 891 soil samples were collected. Their results ranged from gold content below the detection limit (5 ppb) to 582 ppb gold, with 22 samples yielding more than 25 ppb gold. Seven of them even showed a gold content of more than 100 ppb.
An additional 167 infill samples from the B horizon were taken. Their results are also expected from the laboratory shortly. Furthermore, an initial phase of follow-up/ground-truthing of high-priority anomalous soil samples has been completed. During this process, 30 grab samples were collected, with preliminary results also expected soon. Using these results, Platinex aims to guide further work in this area.
