Drilling Start Approaches
The Canadian gold explorer Quimbaya Gold (CSE QIM / WKN A3DT3C) is primarily exploring the highly promising Tahami project in Colombia. There, they have identified vein structures that extend from the adjacent Segovia project of neighbor Aris Mining, which is mining reserves averaging 10.8 g/t Gold! Quimbaya hopes to begin its own drilling as early as the second quarter and is currently raising fresh capital for this purpose. And investor interest is high.
As CEO Alexandre B. Poivin now reports, the company has completed the third tranche of a financing round. Through the issuance of 3,135,800 units at CAD 0.30 each, Quimbaya received another CAD 940,740. However, this is not yet the end of the line. Due to high investor demand, the company has announced an increase in the placement volume to CAD 3 million (under the same conditions). The current financing round is expected to be fully completed by February 21, it is stated.
CEO Alexandre P. Boivin is understandably very pleased with the investors’ interest in his company and especially the potential for a high-grade gold discovery in Colombia. Like probably all shareholders, he is now eagerly anticipating the start of drilling in the coming months. After all, before the current financing round, the Quimbaya CEO alone held 38.3% (!) of the non-diluted outstanding shares…
A good first, more detailed overview of Quimbaya Gold is available – in German (!) – in the video interview linked below, which Goldinvest.de was recently able to conduct with Mr. P. Boivin:
