And the saga continues: Gold explorer Golden Cariboo Resources (CSE GCC / Frankfurt A402CQ) once again reports visible gold at numerous points in the samples from the latest drilling on the Quesnelle Gold Quartz property (QGQ)!
As the company announces today, they have discovered a zone of strong, continuous gold mineralization in drill hole QGQ24-21, starting at 257 meters depth, containing numerous occurrences of visible gold! With this, Golden Cariboo has now discovered visible gold in nine (!) consecutive drill holes since the discovery of the Halo Zone in July 2024!

And, similar to mineralization encountered in earlier drill holes in the Halo Zone, the visible gold was found in a stockwork of quartz-carbonate-pyrite veins within a strongly sericite- and iron-carbonate-altered greenstone package of intermediate to mafic volcanic rocks. QGQ24-21 intersected 257 meters of carbonaceous argillites in the hanging wall before intersecting the greenstones. The mineralization, similar to the previous drill hole QGQ24-20, is closely spatially associated with shear zones at the contact.
As a reminder: Drill hole QGQ24-20, 80 meters away, yielded, among others, 0.99 g/t gold with 9.8 g/t silver over 236.88 (!) meters including 1.45 g/t gold and 16.05 g/t silver over 137.7 meters!
Golden Cariboo has now drilled QGQ24-21 at a different angle and inclination to intersect veins in various directions and lithological contacts at favorable angles. It was started in December 2024 and is now being continued in April 2025, currently reaching a depth of 285.3 meters without yet intersecting the lower boundary of the mineralized zone.
Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo, stated: “After the success with last year’s exceptional discovery on our Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, the entire team could hardly wait to resume drilling in 2025. To start with another find of visible gold is simply exciting. It’s the perfect start to a season that we believe will be outstanding. We look forward to more fantastic intersections as we continue to expand our discovery of the Halo Zone along strike and at depth.”
