Copper Explorer Max Resource Brings Top Geologist Bruce Counts into Leadership Team
The copper explorer Max Resource Corp. (TSX.V: MAX; OTC: MXROF; FRA: M1D2) is immediately strengthening its leadership team with a new, technically highly skilled Vice President of Exploration. The role at Max will be taken on by geologist Bruce Counts, who specializes in geophysical exploration methods, is already very familiar with the Cesar project in northeastern Colombia, and brings 30 years of experience in international exploration projects, project development, and deposit evaluation.
Bruce Counts said: “I had the privilege of visiting the project twice and observing the promising targets in the field. I am confident that the Cesar project has the potential to host multiple world-class copper-silver deposits. The sheer size of the mineralized system at Cesar is impressive. Max has identified 21 compelling targets across three different districts, spanning a 90 km stretch of the Cesar Basin.”
“Our exploration team will soon begin a regional airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over the entire length of the project. This data will support the company’s work in preparing the highest priority targets for drilling and facilitate the search for additional copper occurrences in this under-explored part of Colombia.”
Brett Matich, CEO of Max Resource, added: “We are thrilled to have attracted a VP of Exploration with Bruce’s experience and caliber. Bruce will lead our exploration efforts in developing the 188 square kilometers of mining concessions and 1,000 square kilometers of applications that MAX has acquired over the past three years.”
