Goliath Resources (TSX-V: GOT, OTCQB: GOTRF, FSE: B4IF) reported strong drill results from its Surebet discovery at the Golddigger Project in British Columbia’s famous Golden Triangle. Several drill holes returned high-grade gold intercepts with abundant visible gold to the naked eye (VG-NE), while a large portion of the assays from the ongoing campaign are still pending.
The current announcement focuses on drill holes GD-25-377, GD-25-332, GD-25-380, and GD-25-374, which are testing different mineralized zones within the Surebet discovery, including the Bonanza Zone, the Goldzilla Vein, and the Surebet Zone itself.
According to the company, results from 80 drill holes are still being processed for the 2025 season, with VG-NE already identified in the drill core in 62 of these holes representing 78%.
Strong Gold Grades in Bonanza Zone and Goldzilla Vein
Especially noteworthy among the latest results is drill hole GD-25-377, which intersected several separate mineralized intervals in the Bonanza Zone. Over a drill length of 15.00 meters (approximately true thickness), 5.20 g/t gold was measured, including a section of 10.84 meters with 7.16 g/t gold and an even higher-grade section with 10.25 g/t gold over 7.02 meters. In this area, visible gold grains were observed multiple times in highly quartz-sulfide veins.
In addition, GD-25-377 shows a broader mineralized zone, which is also associated with the Bonanza Zone and remains open: 30.00 meters at 1.06 g/t gold, including 20.04 meters at 1.45 g/t gold and 9.01 meters at 2.34 g/t gold. A shorter section also returned 8.73 g/t gold over 3.80 meters.
From the Goldzilla Vein, Goliath Resources reports, among other things, 13.38 g/t gold over 5.75 meters from drill hole GD-25-332, including 15.83 g/t gold over 4.86 meters and 19.87 g/t gold over 3.87 meters. These are also quartz-sulfide veins with multiple grains of visible gold, and the structure remains open at depth and laterally.
Drill hole GD-25-380, also on the Goldzilla Vein, averaged 4.83 g/t gold over 8.00 meters, including 6.61 g/t gold over 5.80 meters. The mineralization is consistent with that of the other Goldzilla drill holes, with quartz-sulfide veins containing VG-NE.
All grades published to date refer exclusively to gold; contributions from silver, copper, lead, and zinc are not yet included in these values. Once the complete multi-element analyses are available, Goliath Resources intends to submit the corresponding gold equivalent grades (AuEq) – which may be even higher, of course.
Secure expansion of the Surebet Zone and extension of the high-grade domain
Further mineralized intervals were also confirmed in the central Surebet-Zone itself. Drill hole GD-25-374 encountered a zone with strong quartz-sulfide stockwork: 8.00 meters grading 4.59 g/t gold, including 7.00 meters grading 5.21 g/t gold and a high-grade core grading 8.89 g/t gold over 3.00 meters. VG-NE was also observed multiple times here.
The current campaign served not only to expand the system, but also to increase geological certainty in the already known zones. According to the company, the new results have extended the high-grade domain of the Goldzilla Vein by a further 80 meters to the northwest to a total strike length of approximately 580 meters – with the extension still open!
Goliath Continues with 100% Hit Rate on Surebet

In total, the Surebet discovery now has more than 600 pierce points over an area of approximately 1.8 km². All drill holes completed to date at Surebet have intersected significant quartz-sulfide mineralization. In the 2025 season, VG-NE was also observed in 83 of 110 drill holes, representing approximately 76%. Looking at all holes drilled on Surebet to date, the proportion of drill holes with visible gold is even higher at around 92% (355 of 386 drill holes).
Three rock packages and evidence of a magmatic “mother lode” source
Of geological interest to Goliath Resources is that high-grade gold is encountered in three different rock units:
- Gently dipping, gold-rich, stacked quartz-sulfide breccias and stockwork veins,
- gold-bearing, intermediate to felsic RIRG dykes (Reduced Intrusion Related Gold, Eocene age), and
- broad zones of calc-silicate altered breccia, which were only recently identified as another carrier of gold mineralization.
According to the company, all three rock types contain significant amounts of VG-NE – ranging from fine-grained to coarse-grained – and are still open in all directions. Together with the extensive distribution of mineralization, Goliath Resources deduces from this that there is a deeper magmatic center (“motherlode”) that could be the causal intrusion for the extensive gold-rich system at Surebet.
Goliath Founder and CEO Roger Rosmus points to two series of gently dipping, stacked veins that dip in different directions (southwest and southeast), as well as steeply dipping RIRG (Reduced Intrusion Related Gold) dykes that cross these vein packages. At the intersections – internally referred to as “Goldilocks zones” – different temperature and fluid regimes meet, which is believed to support the enrichment of visible gold.
Extensive Drilling Campaign 2025 Completed
The 2025 drilling season at the Golddigger project has now been successfully completed. Originally, around 40,000 meters were planned, but ultimately 64,364 meters of drilling were systematically completed with nine drill rigs – all concentrated on the Surebet discovery.
everal objectives were pursued within this program:
- Exploration of the presumed magmatic source (“Motherlode”) at depth,
- targeted drilling on the vertical RIRG dykes,
- additional infill drilling to consolidate the known stacked veins,
- lateral and vertical expansion of the already known mineralized zones.
The combination of a high hit rate – 100% of the drill holes at Surebet intersect mineralization – and the high proportion of drill holes with visible gold is remarkable in the junior gold sector. For Goliath Resources, the results provide further data points for the ongoing 3D model of the Surebet discovery, which will serve as the basis for future project development.
With the Golddigger project, Goliath Resources is active in a region that is one of Canada’s most geologically productive gold and silver areas. The Golden Triangle in northern British Columbia is home to numerous deposits along the so-called “Red Line,” a geological contact associated with many significant discoveries. Golddigger itself now encompasses a large land package and is located approximately 30 kilometers southeast of the port city of Stewart with access to tidal water.
Conclusion: Given the numerous analysis results still pending, Goliath is likely to continue presenting results from the 2025 drilling campaign well into next year. If these results are even remotely similar to those seen so far, which we believe is highly likely, the Surebet discovery is likely to gain significantly in scope and importance once again. Given that Goliath recently raised another CAD 26.3 million (gross) in fresh capital, we also expect 2026 to be as active – and hopefully as successful – as this year. In any case, the market has already rewarded Goliath’s 2025 drilling success at the TSX Venture with a price increase of around 153%.
